I’m in Love!: January
Better late than never my loves! I was home last weekend & chose to relax at the end of a very chaotic few days instead of writing a blog. Sorry!
We made it through the first month of the year & I ended up following the typical “lets go lighter at the beginning of the new year” so there is a lot less to this month than normal but I love all of these things so throughly that it makes it all okay.
Food & Drink
Chicken Caesar Wraps
Pistachio Almond Creamer
If you know me, you know there are very few things in my life I love more than a killer chicken caesar wrap. I only eat out once a week as treat to myself on the weekends (living in the city this is a feat of self control) & I think every weekend this month I chose a Chicken Caesar Wrap. I prefer one from Lenwich here in the city because their ratios on everything is always perfect. I get the wrap with a side of fries because obviously. As I am writing this I decided to order one for dinner as a Super Bowl Sunday treat.
This next item is very new but now essential to my morning. I am not a creamer girly when I make my morning matcha. My go to is just honey and oat milk, simple and delicious. This past month, I was in Westside Market picking up golden oreos & spotted a pistachio almond creamer & my interest was piqued. Now that I have tried it, I adore it so much. The honey & pistachio flavor is delicious & spiritually I would say I am pistachio honey flavor but Alex says I am Vanilla honey.
Entertainment
Mans Best Friend
Vinyls
PONIES
Aperture
James Bond Movies
This month I fell in love with my vinyls again. My family was kind enough to gift me 4 new ones for Christmas. I have been on journey of making more space for physical media in my life whether its books, vinyls, or dvds. I am loving having the vinyls because honestly, I think they sound better than music on a speaker. There is something magical about it.
On the topic of vinyls, I think my most listened to album was Mans Best Friend. It was the best album for my dance parties & probably was the most listened to music of the entire month. That & The Art of Loving were my top 2 vinyls on rotation last month.
To round out my music discussion: he’s back. Mr. Harry Styles is back & I can tell he’s doing his big one with this new album. Aperture one of the best songs of his already. I was listening to it & the best way I could describe the feeling I get when I listen to it is: it is playing in a coming of age rom com where they are at a rave and the main couple realizes they are in love. I am waiting impatiently for the rest of the album March 6th.
This month, Netflix decided they were releasing the entire James Bond film catalogue & as a lover of Daniel Craigs Bond, I was quite excited. I decided to watch Quantum of Solace for the first time in years & I know its not a lot of peoples favorite but guys. I will make the argument that it is the most camp of all of his Bond movies. From start to finish there is so much action, the storyline, the outfits, the parties, the desert scenes. It was gorgeous. I will say, not my favorite opening Bond song but I did have a good time watching.
Finally! I have not been big on binging in most recent months, nothing has captured my interest enough. Until this last month. NBC Peacock is KILLING IT recently. From St. Denis & Stumble with their comedies, they came out with an action dramedy PONIES on the streaming platform last month. Persons of No Interest. Based during the Cold War, two wives lose their husbands while overseas in Russia & begin working for the CIA. I started it on a Sunday night & binged the whole show in one night. It is so fun & thrilling with amazing acting, sets, & costumes. It felt like a new and fresh take on over done spy movies and shows I feel like Hollywood is pumping out. I can not recommend this show enough.
Well my gorgeous people, thats all for January. I hope you have the most amazing rest of your Sunday & have glorious week & month ahead.
Talk soon.
