I’m in Love: December
Happy New Year my fellow fangirls & boys! I wanted to start by saying thank you for following along in 2025. I am never happier than when I am writing or working on the blog. So, thank you for allowing me to do this & for actually reading. Not just letting me shout into the void.
December was a month that started with travel & was filled with so much family & friend time. I was able to host in NYC during the holidays & spend time at home to end the year. It was filled with the good kind of chaotic but obviously in all of that I loved some things more than others.
Entertainment
RHONY
Heated Rivalry
SNL
End of the Year Recaps
Everytime by Ariana Grande
Traitors
This month I don’t think I really consumed all that much media but then I created the list of things I loved & it’s 99% of the list.
I’m not sure if End of the Year Recaps are considered entertainment but I love looking at what people have read, listened to, or watched last year. It gives me so many new recommendations and ideas, so if you think no one cares, I care. Please continue to post those.
Starting off, I was really going through my Sweetner renaissance last month. Primarily, Everytime. I love Ms. Grande & this song but also this album was really a moment for me. I absolutely loved returning to it last month.
Guys, Heated Rivalry. I actually can not speak much on this or I will explode. I adore my cutie gay hockey players so much. I am still at the hospital. Stuck there, really. Between the hospital & the cottage, how was a girl supposed to act normal at all last month?
I found great comfort in watching old episodes of SNL last month. When I got home from work, it really was my go to just to turn on in the background or watch as my nightly viewing. We should all thank my queen, Amy Poehler, for igniting my love for the older seasons and even some of the episodes within the last few years are so funny.
Now, I have been rediscovering my love of reality television this last year. The women of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City have my heart. They are iconic but now that their season is coming to an end I needed something else to watch. Finally, I tuned into the Real Housewives of New York. These women are the moment. Iconic. Groundbreaking. Everything they did back in the early seasons is everything I wish more recent reality tv would be. They will never be able to recreate this level of cinema in a real housewives franchise.
Lastly, I binged season 3 of Traitors in a day last month, This show is so camp. Sending people to a Scottish castle & essentially playing Among Us/Mafia in real life? I loved this show so much. From start to finish it is probably the campiest show on television. I love it & I can not WAIT for the new season.

Train Rides
Christmas Shopping
Y’all, I love Christmas shopping. Or really buying gifts for people in general. Last month, being able to buy gifts for family & friends was so much fun. Playing secret Santa for my 4 year old cousin really brought out my inner child & shopping for Barbies and coordinating accessories really was starting to be a problem because I just wanted to buy everything. Truly, one of my favorite times of year.
Last month, I took the train from NYC to Cleveland & I was thriving. I wish that the Amtrak trains were faster like they are in Europe because if we had more high speed rails in the U.S., you would never see me on an airplane. I think if you ever have an opportunity to train - you should take it. Even though it may take you longer, I found it to be so much more relaxing and less stress inducing than air travel. I loved it & I can’t wait to do it again.
Alright, that’s all for last month. I am excited for this new year & everything that it will bring. Hopefully, this gave you some inspiration for things to watch or even influenced you to take a train ride this year.
Talk soon.
